Ballantyne
is the world's largest producer of canned butter. Sealed airtight for maximum
freshness, their canned butter delivers convenience in the form of extended shelf
life and easy distribution without the necessity of refrigeration. It has
also proven ideal for disaster preparedness, camping, boating and remote areas
where refrigeration is not freely available.
A
free range farming system in New Zealand allows Ballantyne to produce butter of
the highest quality. New Zealand government regulations assure that butter is
packed under strict quality controlled conditions. Their factory is ISO,
GMP and HACCP accredited and an export permit issued by New Zealand authorities
is required prior to the export of any of our butter products.
If
you have been looking to add REAL butter, not powdered or Freeze Dried, to your
long term food storage program, than look no further! We have been very fortunate
to have found a canned butter, that is imported from New Zealand, that actually
tastes better than any gourmet butter we had ever tried – and with an indefinite
shelf life, no refrigeration is necessary!!
GREAT
FOR CAMPING! PERFECT FOR THE BOAT OR RV!
For
years we've had people ask us about storable butter, and all we've had to offer
is powdered butter. Now you can have smooth, creamy, high-quality
butter.
Eat it right out of the can, or open both sides of the can (after a couple of
hours of being in the fridge), and slide the whole thing right out onto a dish.
And
the best part (besides the great taste) is the list of ingredients; Pasteurized
Cream and Salt – that’s it!! No preservatives, food colorings or chemicals
of any kind, just naturally made wholesome butter from down under.

You'll
find that it is not only lower in Saturated Fat than the average American butter,
but it also has almost
1/3rd less Sodium. Each
can contain 12 oz of butter - which works out to three traditional sticks
of butter.
Sometimes,
just like organic peanut butter, after long storage (5 years or so) or if the
unopened can of butter freezes, the butter might separate inside the cans.
This does NOT mean it's bad.
In my samples that had separated, it looked bright yellow on the top and creamy
yellow on the bottom. I
spooned it into a Tupperware container and stirred
it well, then put it in the refer. Further use showed
the
taste was still pure and excellent!
