Instructions
1. Hold Handy Sharp
firmly at about a 45 degree angle. Stroke your blade LIGHTLY
with the Handy Sharp
. A few strokes are usually adequate. (If using the V
notch to quickly put a razor edge on your blade, LIGHTLY
draw the blade down through the notch.)
2.
For a dulled or burred knife, increase stroke pressure.
3.
As the cutting edge becomes sharper, the stroke pressure
should be lightened to create a finer honed edge.
4.
Sharpening techniques may be varied to meet individual needs.
Avoid
contact with the sharp edges - don't slice your finger!
