A perfect radio for emergency or daily listening. It comes with a High quality DC type brushless generator. The solar panel powers the radio by itself and charges the built-in batteries as well. To catch the sunlight, the solar panel is tiltable. On the other side of the solar panel is a 5 LED reading lamp. The radio also has a multifunction LED flashlight.

 

The radio is designed to charge many electronic items. It has a USB plug that can connect with many standard USB enabled gadgets like iPod & cellphones (includes 6 tips).

Surprisingly enough, an all-steel Slinky™ can be used as an effective and powerful AM/FM/TV/SW antenna! As you can see in the picture, you hang one end from a rafter, ceiling, curtain (when used inside), or tree limb, roof, side-of-building (when used outside). You either let the Slinky™ droop, or you can stretch it out to full length (about 75'!) Run the attached 20' stranded copper lead-in to your units' built in antenna, and simply clip the alligator clip (attached to the lead-in) to your rod antenna.
